I booked my stay at RIU Bavaro in Punta Cana, Dom Republic, and they told me that if I found a lower rate to send proof to bestprice@RIU.com and the lower price would be honored in addition to a 10% off. I've had to cancel my reservation twice showing proof of lower rates and none of my requests have been honored.
At this point, I lost the lowest rate possible that was on Expedia and RIU will not do anything about it. This was supposed to be a week of vacation for my wife and kids. If this is how their customer service operates, I don't even want to think of how they operate on their property.
Canceling my reservation and going to another resort. Stay away!
